Exactly what I would choose for myself!

Vytas Krass

Dear Vytas,

I just wanted to thank you for your work on my Selmer mouthpieces. They are terrific. I especially liked the Oval HS*. Your work is certainly terrific. You have made these mpc's that I sent you so much better and it is much appreciated. The Lelandais with your work is also wonderful.

Thanks again for your terrific work.

Sincerely,

"The way you voiced M. Martin mouthpiece in particular was superb. It plays beautifully, makes an easy and great legato without having to think about doing it. It's very comfortable and there is that great voicing feel to it which puts it into the "outstanding class". It has lots of hold, great control in all dynamics, very clean and precise attack and tunes very nicely".

Mark Friedman

Principal Clarinet, Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela

"Just another note of thanks. Your mouthpiece is really homogenous throughout every register. Feedback from the rest of my woodwind section is overwhelmingly positive. I've been through many, many custom mouthpieces, but your work is in an absolute different league from anything I've seen yet. I'm very happy to own this mouthpiece. Thanks again"

John Schertle

Acting Principal Clarinet. The Hong Kong Philharmonic

I can't tell you enough how much I'm enjoying the mouthpiece. I just played a concert - the mouthpiece played effortlessly and I think it sounds beautiful. It seems to demonstrate all the qualities that you'd hope to get from such a piece. Your work on it looks beautiful as well. I'm thrilled that it feels so comfortable given the fact that it was done 'thru the mail' and we haven't even met!

"Vytas, you really perfected the Van Wie short shank Soloist. My Mark VII really likes this mouthpiece! My Buffets have their own preferences, but my Selmer Mk 7 really comes alive with this and the altissimo plays itself! It is in a different league since you adjusted this Mpc! I tested it with Gonzalez 2.75-3 reeds and got much better results than with Vandoren traditional that I would usually use. Great work!"

Everett Austin, Larkspur, CA

"Vytas: I received your clarinet mouthpiece yesterday. This mouthpiece was everything that I hoped that it would be. I have been having problems with the V12 3.5 reeds on my current mouthpiece because the reeds are too hard. V12 3.0 reeds are too soft. Your mouthpiece plays the V12 3.5 reeds beautifully. I love the response and the feel in the altissimo register and I am able to play softer and more expressively."

Rick Gibson, Cedar Rapids, IA

"Vytas, I just wanted to thank you for your wonderful work on this piece - it is superb! I have play tested it against other soloists and vintage pieces along with my other pieces and it tonally just blows them all away, it is now the only piece in my case, being played 7 days a week."

Tucker Antell, Tenor sax, Watertown, MA

"Regina, I played the horn with the mouthpiece and I love it! It has a wide dynamic range, from subtone to very loud, and it can play with a sweet tone or a very edgy one. It's exactly what I wanted and I want to thank you and Vytas for making it happen. Thank you so much."

Mark Sheedy, Saxophone, Irvine, CA

"Vytas, I received the mouthpiece yesterday. WOW --- It's a beauty from the perspective of looking at it and it's a masterpiece from the perspective of playing it. Simply incredible what you have done here. You have converted a very good mouthpiece into a masterpiece performer. The response is superb - "like sliding on ice". The transitions are smooth. It is free-blowing with virtually no resistance (and I REALLY like that) - I do not like "pushback" on a mouthpiece. It plays very well across all registers and has a very nice tone, especially in the lower register.
